First, I am thankful for celebrating three years of marriage with my husband this past week. God put the most loving human in my life seven years ago. HE knew that I needed to meet and marry an educator. Jermaine gets “it.” Also, he protects my heart, he is genuine, he is kind, he is hard working, and he leads our family so well.
Next, I am thankful for fit parents who love each other SO much. They have been married for 35 years and they continue to pursue each other. Marriage is hard work. It it about getting up every morning and choosing your “person.” I’m thankful for parents that put in the hard work and are such a beautiful example of selfless love for Jermaine and I. Yesterday, they arrived home safely from their vacation in New Hampshire and Maine. #MuthAdventures
Furthermore, I am thankful for our jobs. We both ended the regular school year the last week of May and started teaching summer school the following week. I am thankful for the opportunity to teach summer school. This month, I have grown and loved.
A thankful heart is a happy heart!
