Our Anniversary Dinner

Every year for our Anniversary, we go back to The Alfond Inn, where we had our wedding reception, and we have dinner at Hamilton’s Kitchen. It is our tradition and it makes my heart so happy!

First off, when we checked in, the hostess wished us a Happy Anniversary and then she sat us at the same table that we sat at when we celebrated our first anniversary. So special!

Now, for the food and drinks. I started with a glass of rose. Yum! There is something so refreshing about a glass of rose in the summer time. For my entrée, I ordered the Creekstone Filet. A medium well filet with candied bacon and stilton pecan butter. It was served with broccolini and I substituted the rosemary mashed potatoes for risotto. (The vegetarian dish for our wedding was risotto and it was chef’s kiss!) Jermaine ordered Jerk Jackfruit. It was served with cilantro jasmine rice and garlicky broccolini. Our meals were perfection! We then ended dinner with a key lime dessert and I ordered the Story of Tonight cocktail. It contained Ron Zacapa rum, Kahlua, and Bailey’s chocolate. It was the perfect way to end dinner and I always think of my Mom when I order a cordial after dinner. She knows how to celebrate big!

We had such a special dinner at Hamilton’s Kitchen! Everyone was so friendly. During dinner, another waiter came over to our table and wished us a Happy Anniversary. He thought it was so special that we come back every year for dinner.
