Paris- Day 3

This small cafe was across the street from our hotel. They opened the week we were in Paris! This particular morning, J stopped for a coffee to enjoy as we walked to breakfast.

We found a cafe around the corner that had a breakfast deal. You got a coffee, a croissant, a yogurt parfait, and orange juice. We ordered one deal and split it! It was perfect. Then, off to Trocadero to see the far side of the Eiffel Tower that had the Olympic rings on it. Well… we tried to see the other side. Trocadero was totally blocked off because the athletes were going to convene there once the Opening Ceremony was over. I did ask a French police officer if there was any other way to see the Olympic rings on the Eiffel Tower and he had no idea. So we left.

Now- I have MANY thoughts about this. Why would you put the Olympic rings on that side if people are coming from all over the world for this event?! LA28 DO BETTER!

In France, Starbucks puts all drinks in paper cups. Also, I had to try both of the new refresher flavors in France: cool lime and very berry.

Time to head back to the hotel for some rest before we head back out for dinner!

A lot of the shop windows were Olympic themed.

We ate at an Italian cafe in the Champs-Elysees area. J had spaghetti and I asked if I could get the pizza off of the kids menu. The waiter said he didn’t mind but his manager might. LOL He thankfully placed the order. Then, we split a coke. Coke tastes better when it is from a glass. & the French drink Coke with a lemon. YUM!

Then, J ordered a fancy dessert for us to share. So romantic!

He was singing Bob Marley in the metro!! SO good.

I loved the musicians in the metro!! They were all so talented.

All of a sudden we hear fast footsteps and 3 police officers are putting on gloves and running behind us. We think someone was being noncompliant in the metro. EEK!

This station was SO beautiful! Almost back to the Ecole Militaire station for our walk back to the hotel.

Once back at the hotel, we shower and scroll through the photos from the day. Around 2 AM, we notice the thermostat was off. J did some research and watched some YouTube videos on how to turn it back on, but no luck. We call the receptionist (who we are pretty sure was sleeping) and he tells is how to reset it (remember we had already tried this). He eventually comes to our room and brings us a fan (small but mighty!). Here we are in another country with no air conditioning. Just another Lamar Adventure! I could NOT STOP laughing.

Au revoir,

Molly
