& on the last day in Paris, we saw a French cat! We went to a cafe for breakfast and there was a sweet cat that lived there. He definitely had a mind of his own but he was adorable, nonetheless.

After breakfast, we headed to the post office, so I could send postcards back home. One to Jermaine and I and the other to my parents. Growing up, my Dad would write my Mom, brother, and I a postcard on the last few days of our travels and mail it to our house. It was SO neat coming home and getting the postcard in the mail. My Dad would always write what his favorite part of our family trip was on the postcard. Then, you have the postcard and the stamp as a souvenir.
Of course, the stamps in Paris were Olympics themed!! Dreamy.

Next, we headed to the 11th Arrondissement. In Emily in Paris, she goes to Atelier de Lumieres, so of course I had to go and see this unique art exhibit. The exhibits were Van Gogh/Dreamed Japan while we were there. It was the perfect indoor activity since it was rainy.

Next we headed across the street to a cafe. We needed a good drink and something to eat!

I think at this point in the day, I had already asked Jermaine 100 times if we could stay longer in Paris. Paris is just SO magical!!
Next, we headed back to the hotel to change and go for a bike ride. Well, I biked and J ran. I may or may not have hit a man while I was maneuvering the Lime bike. E bikes are not for me. Way too much power and not enough control. I laughed out of embarrassment and thought: thank goodness I won’t see him again in my life. While on the bike ride, I was determined to bike across town to go to this specific shop to buy a Paris ornament. We made it 5 minutes before they were about to close.

Next, we stopped into a wine bar for a glass of French wine and some chips. It was the perfect snack before dinner. We talked about our favorite parts of the trip!

When we got back to the hotel, they had left us a parting gift on our bed! SO sweet!! Now, it was time to pack our suitcases before our flight in the morning.

I signed the hotel guest book and ate the last chocolate that we had bought from Laduree!! Don’t worry Paris, the Lamar’s WILL be back!!

The next morning we got up and J requested an Uber on the app. Our driver picked us up and we headed back to the airport. Once we got through security, we had one last Starbucks! Now, we quickly learned that you can’t sit at the Starbucks table with a paper cup. We got the coffee to go (in a paper cup), but they only let you sit at the table with drinks in glass coffee cups. Now, they did not tell us this at the counter. So we got up and moved. Also, I enjoy how they spelled Molly on the cup. Furthermore, the Starbucks app does not work in France (believe me- I showed it to them and they said NO lol). One of the neat things about traveling is learning the standards/way of life in new places. Some are very silly, but you do them because you are a guest.
Au revoir,
Molly
