I think one of the hardest parts of planning a trip is the hotel! I always want the hotel to be just right. The right location and the right vibe. I always do extensive research before booking a hotel. I read travel blogs, I read reviews, I bookmark several hotels, and then I keep revisiting them for days before I actually solidify our plans. & I have to say this system has worked out for us!! Our hotel in Paris was perfect. I knew I wanted to stay in the 7th because I wanted to be close to the Eiffel Tower. Now, since the Eiffel Tower is in the 7th, the cost is more expensive, but it was SO worth it!
Welcome to Hotel de Londres Eiffel. A 4 star gem that has only 30 rooms. It is located on the the most perfect alley that was one block from the Eiffel Tower. & there was a laundromat right across the street. That is very important when you travel for an extended amount of time and you exercise everyday. No need to bring home smelly, sweaty workout clothes!

The hotel had breakfast everyday for an added fee. We got breakfast at the hotel a few times if we had a limited amount of time in the morning. This is where I was introduced to French yogurt: whole milk yogurt with fruit at the bottom. SO delicious! They also had croissants, pain au chocolat, lemon yogurt cake, baguettes, jam, and even salami and cheese.

The windows in the bedroom and in the bathroom opened. I would open them as soon as we got up and when we came back to the room at night! I loved hearing the hustle and bustle of the city as we were getting ready or talking about our day. Big cities are fascinating to me and it seems like the people never sleep!

In the center of the hotel, was a beautiful wooden staircase. I immediately told J that it smelled like my Grandma and Grandpa Muth’s house!
My grandparents lived in a beautiful, old house on a hill in Pennsylvania. The house had two floors, a huge basement, sun porch, standing attic, pool, and a detached garage. Every room was magical! One of my favorite parts was the creaky hardwood floors. This hotel smelled just like their vintage home and the stairs creaked as you walked down them.
The hotel did have one very tiny elevator. It fit at most 3 people or 2 people and luggage.

All in all, the hotel was truly perfect! When we head back to Paris in a few years, we will definitely stay here again.
Au revoir,
Molly
