During Father’s Day Weekend 2024, my parents wanted to show me the new bookstore in town: The Lynx. We walk in and there was a book talk/author visit going on. The author’s story captivated me and I ended up buying her book.
I had never been to anything like this before, and I really enjoyed it. I have been wanting to go to another author visit. I had been checking The Lynx website to see if any of their upcoming author visits caught my eye. A few did but it wasn’t the right timing. Then, I saw that a former Bachelor contestant/Bachelorette wrote a book and was coming to Orlando on a Book Tour!! I bought a ticket and didn’t look back. I was SO excited. I called my parents. I told Jermaine. This was going to be exhilarating and it was.
I got The Hannah but I had it made with vodka instead of gin. Yum! The edible pink glitter was the best part!
So last Friday night, I got glammed and went to the Book Talk! Hannah was perfect and it was interesting to hear her story, her love for writing, her thoughts on her characters, upcoming book ideas, etc. I had SO much fun. As one friend put it, it was a little ‘self love date.’
