Every year, my husband and I take an anniversary trip. This year’s trip was to the Centennial State or the colorful state of Colorado. Crisp air, beautiful scenery, and so, SO much adventure. Early mornings and late nights- we had an absolute blast and filled every inch of the trip with new experiences. So without further ado, welcome to the Mile High City.
Day one:
Early morning flight: MCO -> DEN
Pick up the rental car (thankful for my big brother and his Amazon perks): this process was super quick and easy
Head to the hotel: The Rally. If you are a baseball fan, this hotel is a MUST. Our room overlooked Coors Field!!
Find lunch near the hotel: Qdoba for me/Cava for J
Then, I relaxed /J ran before getting ready to find dinner and hit the town for the night.

The Rockies were playing AWAY this week, but the games were always being shown in McGregor Square and at local bars. I was tempted to stay another night just to be able to go to a game.

The street art was SO neat. The murals reminded me of the streets in Paris.

One of my favorite things to do in new cities is go to speakeasies, so we headed to Larimer Square. Now, a true speakeasy is a little hard to find. We headed down a set of stairs. There was a bar and a neat shop. The guy was customizing cowboy hats. We talked to him about Denver and he gave us some tips of places to visit. J bought a shirt and then we headed through the secret door. The DJ was SO good!! This place was a vibe.

My drink: “Hot Cowgirl Summer- fiery but refined.” Sounds like an accurate description of someone I know.
J’s drink: “Bartender’s Choice- you don’t pick it. we do.” He said it was one of the best drinks he has ever had.

Now, back to the hotel to get some rest before yoga in the morning.
Peace & Love,
Molly
