Our first full day in Colorado started early. (Travel Tip: pack bars so it takes the guess work out of breakfast.) We both had a bar for breakfast, J mixed Hydrx in one water bottle so we had some electrolytes for the day’s adventures, and he filled two more water bottles with water. You don’t want to be on a hike without water.
Day two:
To Morrison, CO for Yoga on the Rocks @ Red Rocks Ampitheatre. The views were stunning.

Now, you don’t just walk right up to the entrance of the Red Rocks, you HIKE. LOTS of stairs. Little did I know this was only the beginning of the stairs I would encounter in Colorado. I felt a little lightheaded after this initial climb, but I drank some Hydrx and felt better. I think it was just my body getting acclimated to the change in altitude.

After yoga, we hiked a few of the trails at the Red Rocks. Altra had a truck set up and was giving out snacks. This was the perfect fuel for our hike. Inside the Visitor Center, we saw that Gainesville native, Tom Petty, had performed at the Red Rocks. SO neat!
Now, to Golden, CO- home to Coors Brewery.

We ate burgers at Trailhead for lunch. YUM! After yoga, hiking, and a quick brewery tour, we were starving.

Back to Denver, CO.

Now, back to hotel to relax before the night’s adventures. Well- I relaxed and J ran the city.

We took the Lime scooters to the Golden Hour Art Show in the RiNo district (River North Arts District). I bought a neat pair of beaded earrings from a local artist and then we waked to Stem for dinner. The locally brewed cider was delicious and the crispy tofu was SO good!!

Then, back on the Lime scooters to explore more street art.

After Paris, I was a little apprehensive about Lime bikes/scooters. (If you don’t know what I’m referring to, read Paris- Day 7) Well- I’m happy to report that I redeemed myself in CO.

Park Ave. but in CO.

As we approached the hotel, we heard good music coming from a rooftop. We headed to the rooftop for good views of the city, good music, and good people watching. A large group of college students were playing bar golf so that was entertaining to watch.

Peace & Love,
Molly
